As a Project Manager focusing on Construction Materials, your role will involve supervising materials testing and special inspection initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks and industry standards. You will work closely with clients, project teams, and laboratory personnel to deliver successful project outcomes while upholding our dedication to excellence.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Direct and oversee Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections projects, managing aspects such as budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  2. Client Relations: Engage with clients to comprehend project requirements and ensure satisfaction throughout the project duration.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of professionals and field staff in client engagement and project execution, providing continuous support and training.
  4. Client Development: Build and expand a local client network to meet revenue goals.
  5. Business Development: Contribute to local marketing and business development initiatives to enhance market visibility and identify growth prospects.
  6. Proposal Management: Develop and assess field and laboratory cost estimates and proposals in line with project specifications and client expectations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection projects, including at least 1 year in a project management capacity.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe.
  • In-depth knowledge of ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards and procedures, along with IBC Special Inspections.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail, capable of creating and presenting precise technical documentation.
  • Current certifications from ICC, ACI, and DOT are advantageous.
