Accounting Assistant Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team at Consonus Pharmacy. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for accurately applying incoming payments to customer accounts, processing checks and credit card payments, and reconciling payment discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply incoming payments to customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process checks, credit card, and IVR e-check payments
  • Reconcile payment discrepancies and manage unapplied cash
  • Collaborate with accounting and collections teams to resolve payment issues
  • Ensure timely and accurate account updates
  • Utilize banking and accounting software for processing and reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including Accounts Payable filing and other miscellaneous projects

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve discrepancies
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams
