- Communication: Enhancing interactions among patients, families, healthcare teams, and specialists.
- Supervision: Overseeing the work of physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
- Documentation: Ensuring timely and accurate completion of medical records and orders to comply with regulatory standards.
- Quality Initiatives: Participating in hospital-wide quality improvement projects.
- Resource Management: Efficiently utilizing healthcare resources to optimize patient outcomes.
- Education: Engaging in ongoing professional development and educational activities.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid medical license in the State of Maryland.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine or a related adult medical specialty is required.
- Compliance with medical staff membership criteria at the affiliated medical center.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Maryland Medical License.
- DEA Registration.
- CDS Registration.
Physical Requirements: This role involves light work, which may include exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
Education Requirement: A PhD or Doctorate in Medicine is mandatory.
