Job Summary

Jeff Smith Automotive is seeking a skilled Automotive Refinisher to join our team. As a key member of our body shop, you will be responsible for refinishing damaged vehicle bodies and parts to meet factory and dealership quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely and effectively operate all body shop equipment, including sanders, paint sprayers, and other tools.
  • Prepare Surfaces: Mask and protect parts not to be painted, fill cavities and dents with putty, and ensure a smooth surface for painting.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Keep the work area clean and organized, and maintain all required safety and health personal protective equipment.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Cooperate and assist other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Regulations: Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.
Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding position that requires standing for six to eight hours per shift, stopping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and feeling. You will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
