Job Responsibilities- Assist in planning, organizing, and directing Physical Therapy services to ensure the highest level of quality resident care.
- Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to determine the need for intervention and treatment.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the Physical Therapist.
- Conduct individual and group treatment sessions, including exercises and activities to improve muscle strength, coordination, mobility, and sensory awareness.
- Monitor resident progress and consult with the Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed.
- Assist in establishing and modifying individual resident schedules.
- Train residents, family members, and staff on the use of equipment and modalities.
- Participate in resident, family, and staff education.
- Consistently demonstrate sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programs.
- Report to work on time and coordinate schedules to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Assist with and participate in Quality Assurance Program as required.
- Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
- Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
