Deductions Analyst

As a Deductions Analyst at Aston Carter, you will play a critical role in resolving disputed transactions and ensuring accurate cash application processes. Your expertise will be essential in identifying trends and patterns in short payments and working with internal departments to address the root cause of the issue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine the reason and status of open disputed transactions.
- Research and coordinate with internal departments to resolve disputed items.
- Work with customers to obtain necessary documentation to resolve and/or collect disputed transactions.
- Identify trends and patterns in short payments and work with departments to address the root cause.
- Champion process change improvements relating to short payment process flows.
- Create and document processes and procedures for deductions and short payments.
- Establish initial contact with customers to determine the reason for deductions or short pays.
- Log and investigate deductions.
- Use judgment to assign and track follow-up responsibility for resolving deductions.
- Maintain accurate entries and proper storage of paper or electronic check copies.
- Address customer inquiries regarding chargebacks.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- 1 year of experience in AR/Cash Application/Deduction/Dispute/Credit.
- Experience with Oracle or SAP is a plus.
