Job Title: Nurse Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Aide to join our team at the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. As a Nurse Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct care to residents, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and promoting a safe and supportive environment. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to licensed healthcare professionals
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Requirements:
  • Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry
  • Or six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Working Conditions:

This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry. The successful candidate will be required to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends. Overtime may be required as operationally needed.
