Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Garage Technician II to join our team at Dot Transportation, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining brake, HVAC, and major drive line component systems. You will also diagnose and repair electrical, lighting, and onboard vehicle computer systems, as well as provide breakdown support to drivers and other garage employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems, including brake, HVAC, and drive line components
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, lighting, and onboard vehicle computer systems
  • Provide breakdown support to drivers and other garage employees
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures to maintain the company fleet of diesel trucks and trailers
  • Accurately document all work performed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanic experience or technical school graduate
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • History of performing specialized troubleshooting and repairs using manufacturer diagnostic tools
  • Previous experience providing support and leadership to other technicians and mechanics
  • Desire to be a strong team player working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • A valid Class A CDL
