Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at Brilliance Cyber Systems INC. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing on-premise application infrastructure topologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect requirements from on-premise application teams and security partners for new and changing applications.
- Reference United engineering standards to design application infrastructure topologies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support design.
- Design application infrastructure topologies and write their associated design documents.
- Present designs to an architecture review committee made up of engineering leads from the infrastructure team.
- Submit workorders for buildout of on-premise infrastructure including virtual servers, load balancers, storage, network configurations, etc.
- Manage the buildout of specialized infrastructure components like dedicated physical servers, appliances, airport site servers, etc.
- Communicate progress and status to project managers and application teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience with application architecture, platform engineering, network engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with the full range of on-premise infrastructure components consumed by applications including networking, compute, storage, load balancing, etc.
- Experience working in a large enterprise with complex security requirements and enterprise standards.
- Organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple small projects at once.
- Comfort and ability to present to a technical audience and graciously collect feedback and constructive criticism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with load balancing and networking.
