Neurologist - Cognitive Neurology/Dementia Division

Job Summary:
The Cognitive Neurology/Dementia Division of the Department of Neurology at Albany Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist who has completed Cognitive Neurology fellowship training. Our established and growing comprehensive center for research and patient care, which has been designated as one of the 10 Centers of Excellence for Alzheimer's Disease in New York State.
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, with a vision to expand the educational and clinical research efforts, while providing exemplary clinical care. The successful candidate will enjoy ample opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows, and will be part of a dedicated team of neurologists, neuropsychologists, geriatric psychiatrists, social workers, and allied support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care to patients with cognitive and dementia-related disorders
- Participate in research studies and other scholarly work, commensurate with the skills and accomplishments of the clinician scientist
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Requirements:
- BC/BE in Neurology
- Completion of Cognitive Neurology fellowship training
- Strong clinical and research skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
