Precision Machinist

AID Temporary Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Machinist to play a critical role in producing precision parts using a variety of machines and equipment.

• Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines to produce high-quality parts, adhering to strict quality control standards.
• Review technical drawings, instructions, and blueprints to ensure accurate production, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping parts, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.
• Produce precision tools and equipment, applying knowledge of material properties and mechanical operations.
• Interpret technical drawings and instructions to ensure accurate production, utilizing strong technical knowledge.
• Select the appropriate machine and settings for a given task, considering factors such as material properties and production requirements.
• Ensure all operations adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean workstation, prioritizing employee safety and well-being.
• Monitor production and adjust feed and other settings as necessary, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Check that all equipment produced works correctly, conducting quality control checks and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.

• A high school qualification or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
• Prior experience with machine tools and industrial machines, with a proven track record of producing high-quality parts.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean workstation.
• Excellent knowledge of material properties, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a production environment.
• An apprenticeship involving mechanical operations would be advantageous, providing a strong foundation in mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Proficient in math, with the ability to apply mathematical concepts in a production environment.
• Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate computer-aided design (CAD) software and other production-related software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Check output for quality assurance and document or discard defects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality control protocols.
