Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Collaboration: Serve as a leader of the healthcare team, mentoring, orienting, and coaching others in unit-specific operations and patient care activities.
- Patient Care: Develop and/or contribute to the individualized plan of care that reflects assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of that plan.
- Communication and Education: Ensure that patients understand medication purpose, side effects, and administration instructions, both in the hospital and at discharge.
- Documentation and Technology: Utilize computer systems effectively and efficiently for optimal patient care, and document nursing process and interventions and evaluations taken.
- Performance Improvement: Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, including planning, measuring/monitoring, assessing, and improving.
- One (1) year recent (within the last three (3) years) full-time equivalent experience in L&D, or successful completion of a KP L&D course (which includes basic fetal monitoring and NRP) or approved equivalent within prior twelve (12) months.
