Warehouse Specialist

The Bardstown Bourbon Company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our team. As a key member of our distillery operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of barrels throughout our warehouse and rickhouse facilities.

• Unload empty barrels from trailers and prepare them for filling
• Help prepare barrels for filling, including strapping pallets and labeling barrels with correct lot numbers
• Load trailers to ship barrels out to customers
• Store and organize barrels in rickhouses
• Unload pallet trucks and lay out pallets for staging top fill barrels
• Fill barrels with distillate
• Keep warehouse and rickhouse facilities clean and organized
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and complete necessary paperwork daily
• Roll 500-pound barrels to their destination
• Pull barrels to load shipments for customers
• Operate machinery to put barrels in ricks for aging
• Operate air brake trucks for transporting barrels to different areas of the plant

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant experience in a team-based manufacturing environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to perform secondary mathematics (multiplication, division, percentages)
• Strong attributes in attendance, punctuality, teamwork, and attention to detail
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays

• Regularly required to stand, use hands to handle objects, reach, and talk or hear
• Frequently required to walk, sit, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally required to climb or balance and perform repetitive motions
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly
• Must be able to navigate around a plant/production environment, including stairs and elevated walkways
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
• Must not be afraid of working in high places
