Chief Development Officer Opportunity:

The Girl Scouts of Gateway Council is seeking a talented and experienced Philanthropy Leader to join its team as Chief Development Officer. As the chief fundraising officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive philanthropic revenue and advance the council's mission.

About Us:

The Girl Scouts of Gateway Council serves over 25,000 girls across 35 counties in North Florida. Our mission is to empower girls to become leaders, innovators, and change-makers by providing them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in life.

We offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes a salary range of $145,000 - $165,000, based on experience, plus excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans to drive philanthropic revenue and advance the council's mission
- Lead a team of professionals to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership to develop and update the annual development plan
- Manage the department's budget, setting fundraising targets based on previous performance in partnership with the finance team
- Work with the Board of Directors to shape long- and short-term fund development strategies

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Management, Public Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive and innovative experience overseeing fundraising and development
- Proven experience in strategic planning, capital campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, and endowment funds
- Demonstrated portfolio of fundraising success in cultivating up to seven-figure gifts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Technologically proficient, with expertise in tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and webinar platforms
