We are seeking a skilled Wound Treatment Specialist to join our team at Ridgeway Post Acute. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide primary skin care to residents under medical direction and supervision with an emphasis on treatment, therapy of skin disorders, and prevention.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

You will be responsible for providing resident care, including carrying out physician's orders for care, such as providing medication and treatment. You will also perform treatments in a manner that protects the dignity and self-respect of the resident.

Your duties will include:

  • Accurately observing and assessing wounds and pressure sores with prompt notification of physicians of lack of progress in healing or deterioration with the current treatment and or signs/symptoms of infection
  • Ensuring appropriate wound care management services are included in the plan to promote healing
  • Assisting in preparing and updating care plans for treatment-related issues
  • Reporting significant findings or changes in condition and potential concerns to RN Supervisor and /or Director of Nursing

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Possession of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2 years or more experience preferably in a long-term care facility
  • Friendly and caring bedside manner
  • Ability to solve practical problems
