We are looking for a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient care to all patients.
Job Summary and Qualifications:
Special Procedure Technologists must possess knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, and the treatment and care of patients served. They are responsible for assisting the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies, as well as recording and monitoring these cases while understanding hemodynamic measurements and readings from the valve areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer contrast media according to age/weight specific guidelines.
- Set up sterile trays and maintain a sterile field according to hospital protocols.
- Scrub and assist the interventional physician during procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects, and contraindications for administration.
- Start and maintain IV access.
- Accurately follow physician orders, document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.
Qualifications:
- Current license or registry from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and licensed through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)].
- BLS certification required.
- Completion of ACLS training within 6 months of hire.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, guests, physicians, and colleagues.
- Minimum of 1 year of IR experience preferred.
