Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will work under the direct supervision of a unit charge person to attend to the needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete and report vital signs accurately and promptly.
  • Answer phone calls, record necessary information, and route messages to appropriate personnel within 5 minutes.
  • Keep patient records up-to-date and notify nurses of any significant changes in patient condition.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Transport patients as indicated.
  • Obtain x-rays and medical records when required.
  • Assist in the chemotherapy area as necessary.
  • Ensure all charts have the required forms for documentation.
  • Prioritize orders in the order entry system accurately and efficiently.
