About the Role:

As a Customer Service Representative at Universal Health Services (UHS), you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient admissions and referrals. Your excellent communication skills and empathy will make all the difference in delivering exceptional customer service to our patients, families, and referral sources.

About You:

We're looking for an experienced professional with a passion for customer service and behavioral health. As a successful candidate, you will have a minimum of two years' experience in a hospital setting, preferably in admission and referral roles. A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with BLS certification and knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local registration processes. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operation of the Assessment and Referral Department. This includes completing verification of insurance benefits, entering patient demographic information into the hospital database system, processing faxed and telephonic referrals, and screening clinical information for admission and exclusionary criteria. Additionally, you will staff cases with psychiatrists, medical interns, and/or administration, document all pertinent clinical information, initiate calls to key referral sources, and perform other duties as assigned by the ARS Director or CEO.
