Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Navigator to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our cancer care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care throughout their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Identify and address potential barriers to care, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare providers to overcome challenges and achieve treatment goals.
  • Offer education and support on treatment options, side effects, and symptom management, empowering patients to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the care process.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Preferred experience: 3 years within oncology, with at least 1 year in assigned disease group.
  • Active Georgia (GA) nursing license, eligible for licensure in GA; active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire.
  • BLS or ACLS required; OCN, AOCN, APN, CBCN, or BMTCN certification preferred, required within 24 months.
