The Role

We are seeking an accomplished graphic designer to join our in-house Design Studio, located above our New York galleries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for communicating the essence of Sotheby's auctions across various media channels, including printed and digital publications.

Responsibilities
  • Develop creative design solutions from concept to print and online/digital media, adhering to Sotheby's brand guidelines and exploring specific creative direction on design projects.
  • Research, conceptualize, and present ideas through to creation of finished artwork for print and digital publication.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Design Studio, Marketing team, and internal clients to see projects through from initial brief to completion, working within budgets and tight deadlines.
Requirements
  • A natural flair for creative design with excellent layout, composition, typographical, and aesthetic coherence.
  • Excellent knowledge of print production and finishing, as well as online/digital media processes and a drive to utilize new software.
  • Experience in motion graphics and animating digital content, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
What We Offer
