Donation Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our team at Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our donation process.

• Provide exceptional customer service to all donors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
• Accurately sort and label donations by category, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
• Safely and efficiently load trailers, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring a safe and healthy workspace for associates and customers.
• Ensure the security of company assets, reporting any known or suspected security issues to management.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, providing regular updates on donation area operations and customer interactions.
• Set a positive public image by adhering to Goodwill's dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Exercise sound judgment when dealing with customers, making decisions that positively impact both customers and Goodwill.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and adapt to our processes is essential.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Availability to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs dictate.
