Outpatient Oncology Nurse Practitioner

A prominent healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to become part of their outpatient oncology unit.
Position Overview:
- Work Hours: Daytime Schedule
- Work Days: Monday through Friday
- Environment: Outpatient Oncology Facility
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, prescribing treatments, and educating patients on their health
- Collaborating with Physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Implementing care plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Engaging in additional responsibilities as required
- Participating in quality improvement and research initiatives
- Upholding professional standards and maintaining clinical proficiency
- Assuming other duties as necessary
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in New York State
- National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Certification in ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy
Preferred Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Acute Care environment
