The University of North Carolina Department of Family Medicine seeks a skilled clinician-scientist with a focus on tobacco use and cessation. We are seeking a faculty physician in family medicine who will be an integral part of our department's success. Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care in one of our Family Medicine Centers, based on applicant interest and department need, with FTE determined by fair and standard allocation of FTE credit applied to all faculty.
  • Demonstrate capacity for high-quality research and leadership, publishing in top-tier academic/medical journals, and securing grant funding.


Requirements:
  • MD or DO required.
  • Candidates must be board eligible or certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Fellowship training and/or an advanced degree (e.g., MPH) is highly desirable but not mandatory.


Compensation and Benefits
Estimated Salary: $250,000 - $350,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus excellent UNC faculty physician benefits and incentive pay.
