Job Overview

Enjet Aero specializes in the machining and fabrication of intricate jet engine components and assemblies for top Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across commercial, defense, and general aviation sectors. Position Summary: The Quality Inspector is accountable to the Quality Manager and is responsible for verifying that parts and processes adhere to operational work instructions and customer specifications, including detailed drawings. This role includes a 20% shift premium, with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 4 pm – 2:30 am.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and authorize incoming materials and components by ensuring compliance with work instructions, specifications, and conducting both visual and measurement assessments, while rejecting non-compliant materials.
  • Assess in-process and final production components by verifying adherence to work instructions and specifications, documenting non-conforming items in the designated database.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of testing and data, such as defective product counts and dimensional results, in alignment with Quality procedures.
  • Ensure measurement tools are functional by adhering to operating guidelines and calibration protocols, and initiating repairs as necessary.
  • Utilize inspection instruments and automated systems for conducting part evaluations.
  • Conduct first piece verification at the operation, approving parts for processing.
  • Communicate the condition of inspected parts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Leverage electronic databases for reporting non-conformances and accessing work instructions.
  • Perform administrative tasks in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED with a strong understanding of trigonometry.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing, including operational inspection or quality inspection support using handheld gauges.
  • Proficient in applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with DSQR/DPRV is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions to understand quality expectations for parts and materials.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry.
  • Ability to read and interpret customer and industry specifications.
