The Avionics Technician is tasked with proficiently executing routine R&E operations related to heavy aircraft A, B, C, and D checks.


Shift Details:
Primarily day shift, with potential variations based on operational requirements. Standard workweek is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In-depth understanding of aircraft avionics and electrical systems.

Comprehend engineering practices for system installations.

Responsible for the launch and recovery of aircraft.

Conduct pre-departure and daily inspections.

Maintain Pireps Log Book entries.

Perform additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
To excel in this role, candidates must successfully fulfill each essential duty. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is mandatory.

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and/or training is required.

Possession of an FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) license is essential.

Prior experience in inventory management and barcoding systems is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Constantly:
Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, exposure to environmental conditions.

Frequently:

Lifting up to 40 lbs., push/pull under 20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces.

Working above chest level, overhead, and away from the body for prolonged periods. Bending, twisting of torso, wrist and hand pressure, fine finger usage, and exposure to moderate to high vibrations.

Occasionally:

Lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operating motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull under 50 lbs., and working in wet conditions.
