Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Providing safe and effective patient care through best practices in hand-off communication and documentation.

    ">
  • Demonstrating knowledge and skills in equipment location, operation, and maintenance.

    ">
  • Performing systematic assessments and recognizing abnormal diagnostic data to inform care decisions.

    ">
  • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation, adhering to hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements.

    ">
  • Providing culturally competent care to patients and families, prioritizing patient-centered care.

    ">
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes and contributing to a healthy work environment.

    ">
  • Participating in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrating awareness of evidence-based practice.

    ">
  • Taking responsibility for meeting education and mandatory programs, including clinical evidence-based competencies and member-specific competencies.

    ">
  • Obtaining 12 contact hours or a 3-credit professional development course as specified by individual member organizations.

    ">
  • Maintaining an up-to-date personal educational file to demonstrate compliance with educational requirements.

    ">
  • Actively participating in peer review processes and articulating awareness of performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • ">
  • A current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine.

    ">
  • BLS certification is required.

    ">
  • Pace Program required.

    ">
  • SN II is required to have a BSN and show proof of National RN Certification and renewals.

    ">
  • Demonstrate system values and integrate them into daily organizational practice.

    ">
  • Actively support patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the diversity of human experience.

    ">
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.

    ">
  • Ability to influence others' actions and decisions without express authority.

    ">
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, database experience, and other computer-related skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
