ERM is seeking a highly skilled GIS Consultant to join our team in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. As a key member of our team, you will leverage geospatial technologies to support our core services, including impact assessment, environmental planning, and permitting.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver GIS and data solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Design, implement, and maintain large-scale GIS projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
- Organize and manage project data, analysis, and mapping in accordance with company protocols and industry best practices.
- Prioritize and manage multiple work assignments in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Develop custom maps and analysis for various clients, covering a range of projects.
- Publish and maintain ArcGIS web-based map services and applications.
- Develop and deploy field GPS and data collection systems, including Trimble GPS and Esri mobile applications.
- Explore new technologies and software to enhance GIS capabilities and improve existing methods, tools, and workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, natural sciences, or a comparable field.
- 1+ years of experience using Esri's ArcGIS 10x and ArcGIS Pro suite of software.
- Experience designing and developing ArcGIS Online web maps and customized web apps using ArcGIS Server.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and professional presentation in project deliverables.
- Previous experience working effectively in a team environment to deliver quality projects on time and within budgets.
- Thorough knowledge of GIS and GPS concepts, principles, and theories.
- Self-motivated, quick learning, and resourceful individual with a common-sense approach to workload management.
- Attributes of a strong consultant, including a team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter, and versatile individual with a service mentality.
- Master's degree in GIS.
- Advanced experience with data management, including organizing and maintaining complex projects with geospatial and tabular data.
- Experience using ArcGIS Pro in a production setting, creating Python geoprocessing tools for ArcPro, and designing queries in Arcade.
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting Esri mobile applications, such as Collector, Survey123, Field Maps, and Dashboard.
- Experience gathering GPS data with Trimble GPS hardware and software and data processing with GPS Pathfinder Office software.
- Experience with subsurface 3D modeling using geochemical and other forms of sample data.
For the Consulting Associate, GIS position, we anticipate an annual base pay of $57,275 – $63,320 USD. An employee's pay position within this range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above.
This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary-based performance bonus.
