Job Title: Certified School Nurse

Fremont Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified School Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our student services department, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our students.

Job Summary:

The Certified School Nurse will provide comprehensive health services to students, including health assessments, screenings, and interventions. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify potential health issues
  • Develop and implement individualized health plans to address student health needs
  • Provide health education and counseling to students, parents, and staff
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement health-related programs and services
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student health issues and progress
  • Participate in staff development and training to stay current on best practices in school nursing
Requirements:
  • Current Nebraska Registered Nurse licensure
  • Nebraska Department of Education Special Services Certificate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
