Job Overview

The Turtle Infrastructure Partners, LLC is seeking a skilled Parts Manager/Fleet Assistant to join their team.

This role plays a pivotal part in managing the parts inventory and assisting the fleet manager in daily functions. Key responsibilities include maintaining inventory levels, tracking and scheduling repairs and maintenance of equipment, and managing key vendor relationships to provide the best service, quality, and pricing.

$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with parts inventory management.
  • Mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, maintain inventory levels to support repair jobs.
  2. Work with the fleet manager to track and maintain all equipment.
  3. Maintain key vendor relationships to provide the best service, quality, and pricing.
  4. Manage parts inventory.
  5. Refresh and maintain inventory supplies.
  6. Monitor and assign parts used to ensure stock is maintained.
  7. Manage order lead times and supply chain issues.
  8. Provide system updates (i.e., new part numbers, pricing).
  9. Provide parts for jobs.
  10. Source emergency parts for needs that develop during a job.
  11. Create and track purchase orders.
  12. Vendor Relationship Management.
  13. Identify key vendors.
  14. Remain up-to-date on vendor offerings and promotions.
  15. Assess existing vendors and add or remove from Key Vendor list as required.
  16. Employ a safety-first mindset and contribute to a safe environment daily.
  17. Fully participate in all required training sessions related to position.
  18. Support and train new or less experienced colleagues in work order or billing of materials processes as required.
  19. Ensure compliance with all safety training, policies, practices, and procedures and consistently apply on the job to create a safe work environment.
  20. Report any potential hazards (e.g., faulty parts) or potentially hazardous conditions to management immediately.
  21. Ensure good housekeeping in all workspaces.
  22. Other duties as required.
