Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Merrill Gardens, a fifth-generation family business dedicated to providing exceptional senior living experiences. As a Sous Chef, you will play a critical role in supporting our residents by preparing high-quality, scratch-cooked meals in a fast-paced, fine dining setting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of meals, ensuring quality, presentation, and timeliness
• Maintain accurate records of temperature charts and food production
• Direct and supervise dining service team members during shifts
• Prepare food items according to company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality food preparation
• Experience in scratch cooking in a high-volume, fine dining setting
• Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Outlook and Word
• Culinary training or degree preferred
