Job Title: Local Contract Nurse RN

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a skilled Local Contract Nurse RN to join their team in Plainsboro, New Jersey.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week contract position requiring 36 hours of work per week, with a 12-hour shift. The ideal candidate will have experience in infusion nursing and be able to administer I.V. drugs to chemotherapy patients under the supervision of a physician.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer I.V. drugs to chemotherapy patients
  • Advise the Senior Charge Nurse/Pharmacy Manager of needed medication and supplies
  • Dispose of chemo waste properly
  • Prepare and maintain chemo equipment
  • Educate patients on nutrition and side effects of drugs
  • Promptly recognize treatment of extravasation
  • Ensure patients speak with the Business Office before receiving therapy
  • Control schedule and reschedule patients as needed
  • Document drugs, solutions, treatments, and patient responses
  • Follow department guidelines for protective techniques and universal infectious control precautions
Requirements:
  • Valid IV Certification
  • Valid NJ RN License
  • BLS
  • Preferred: ACLS, ONS/OCN Certification, Next Gen EMR experience
