Diesel Mechanic Job Description

Trotter Workforce is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to identify faults and repair or replace engine, steering, transmission, braking, or lighting system components.
  • Maintain accurate records of services for clients and the company.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and battery checks.
  • Conduct inspections on trucks and provide timely documentation.
  • Install emissions control systems in accordance with pollution control regulations.
  • Operate hydraulic jacks or hoists to safely raise and lower vehicles and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Diesel ASE certification is preferred.
  • CDL certification is preferred, and we will assist in obtaining it.
  • Self-motivated and professional individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent are required.
  • PA State Inspection License or willingness to obtain is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of Fleet or Dealership experience is preferred.
  • Uphold engine safety standards in accordance with federal and state vehicle requirements.
