Job Description
Medical Team Coordination
The Site Medical Director will oversee the coordination of medical teams to achieve daily goals and overall mission objectives. They will ensure that all medical staff adhere to facility policies, systems, and agendas.

Clinical Oversight
As the primary medical provider, the Site Medical Director will provide clinical oversight to the facility, conducting quarterly chart reviews and annual assessments of medical providers. They will also ensure quality treatment for medical issues and collaborate effectively with other medical professionals to prevent disease and injury.

Essential Duties
• Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and relevant authorities to manage medical needs and responsibilities at the site.
• Perform quarterly chart reviews of medical providers.
• Provide medical assessments and evaluations to patients.
• Initiate and supervise treatment for medical issues.
• Supervise all care given by medical staff.
• Advise other providers as needed for best possible treatment.
• Collaborate with all levels of staff to improve quality of care and patient outcomes.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
• Current, unrestricted license as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required for NCCHC accredited sites.
• 5 years of professional experience providing primary care.
• 2 years of administrative clinical experience.
• Current DEA license.
• Prefer correctional/detention facility experience.
