Job Overview

The Housekeeping Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest accommodations. This position requires a commitment to excellence and adherence to established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Consistently uphold the I-Serve standards in all interactions.
  2. Comply with all company policies and departmental procedures.
  3. Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  4. Report to the designated workstation punctually as per the attendance policy.
  5. Proactively suggest improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Departmental Duties:

  1. Complete all assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.
  2. Ensure guest rooms and villas are impeccably clean and well-presented.
  3. Timely report any deficiencies in the assigned areas.
  4. Keep all public spaces clean and properly maintained.
  5. Ensure safety by keeping corridors and stairways unobstructed.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization in housekeeping storage areas and carts.
  7. Restock attendant carts at the end of each shift.
  8. Participate in meetings and report any potential hazards.
  9. Immediately turn in all lost and found items to the housekeeping manager.
  10. Adhere to Welk Resorts' Signature Guest Engagement service standards.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Preferred candidates will have at least six months of relevant experience or training. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is advantageous. Proficiency in using mobile devices for task management is required.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Effective communication skills with guests and team members are essential. Proficiency in English is required.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands for various tasks, and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
