Job Overview

Industrial Trade Services is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, fabricating, and repairing pipes and pipe systems in various industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret P&ID's and isometric drawings to determine the scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Layout, fabricate, and install pipe spools from spool sheets, ensuring accurate measurements and fit-up.
  • Flame cut pipe to length, bevel, clean, and prepare pipe for fit-up, adhering to industry standards.
  • Perform layout, rigging, and transportation of pipe, valves, and fittings, ensuring safe and efficient installation.
  • Thread pipe using threading machines, bending pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines, and plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers.
  • Properly select and use manual, pneumatic, and electric tools according to tasks, hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane, and use proper hand signals with heavy equipment operators.
  • Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies, and properly test piping systems for leaks by the correct use of hydro-testing equipment.
  • Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools, and help maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of Pipefitting experience in an industrial or petrochemical setting.
  • NCCER certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • May be required to pass a craft test.
