Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality pulmonary care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in a critical, non-critical, and chronically ill setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans under the direction of a physician.
- Conduct various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital.
- Manage ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, and therapeutic monitoring.
- Analyze chest films, blood gases, and EKGs.
- Clean and stock equipment and supplies as necessary.
- Participate in CAP and JC surveys.
- Function as Shift Leader or Team Leader as needed.
- Monitor therapeutic gas management and perform pulmonary function testing.
- Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and waveform analysis.
- Perform polysomnography and other respiratory therapy procedures.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
