Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Trident Medical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with admission and discharge processes, participating in the ongoing assessment of patient care services, and collaborating with subject matter experts to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
  • A minimum of one year of Charge RN experience required.
  • Previous critical care nursing experience required.
