Job Description

As a General Manager at Surfside Commercial Laundry, you will be responsible for managing and reporting daily facility operations, monitoring processing costs, and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and company profitability. You will also work closely with the customer service department to attain industry-leading service levels and manage delivery routes and drivers to ensure efficiency and train staff to deliver top-level customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and report daily facility operations
  • Monitor processing costs and ensure maximum customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and company profitability
  • Work closely with the customer service department to attain industry-leading service levels
  • Manage delivery routes and drivers to ensure efficiency and train staff to deliver top-level customer interactions
  • Responsible for implementing, updating, and training employees on customer item recognition, best practices, company policies, production standard requirements, and quality expectations
  • Determine operations headcount needs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and utilization of facility equipment
  • Work closely with managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure consistent and timely training on proper methods of operation to achieve quality and productivity
  • Conduct safety training consistently and work closely with the Maintenance Department to maintain proactive scheduled maintenance initiatives and reduce repair costs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High level of analytical skills to assess and evaluate operations of subordinate areas of responsibility and participate in establishing financial goals for the company
  • Strong technical skills in materials and inventory management, production scheduling, and preventive maintenance
  • Ability to identify items by customer and knowledge of customer preference for processing, loading, finishing, and presentation of items
  • Working knowledge of chemicals, steam, electricity, pneumatics, and mechanics, as well as OSHA and general safety guidelines
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees
  • Ability to quickly learn company-specific software and demonstrate strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong negotiation skills to create a win/win/win solution for the Company and customers

Estimated Salary:$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
