Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CRNA to join our team at Cibola General Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients, including requesting consultations and diagnostic studies, selecting and administering pre-anesthetic medications and fluids, and obtaining informed consent for anesthesia.
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans of care, taking into account patients' medical histories, anesthesia experiences, and drug therapy.
  • Manage patients' airways and pulmonary status using endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, and respiratory therapy.
  • Monitor and manage patients' blood, fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base balances, as well as their pain relief and anesthesia side effects.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Document patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Current New Mexico and federal DEA certificate
  • Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of New Mexico
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
  • Current certification as a nurse anesthetist from the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Current New Mexico CRNA license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of current trends and standards for anesthesia care
  • Effective problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Positive customer service skills
