Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative is a vital member of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital team at Washington State University. This role is responsible for providing exceptional support services to patients, clients, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support services in patient care areas, including Small, Ag, and Large Animal reception, and switchboard.
  • Work collaboratively with the Patient Services unit to ensure seamless patient care and client satisfaction.
  • Manage cash handling and financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Answer multi-line phone systems and respond to client inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with reception duties in a medical or veterinary setting, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.

Requirements:

  • High school graduation or equivalent, and two years of general office experience or one year of office or customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
  • One year of cash handling experience required.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience working in a medical setting, answering a multi-line phone system, and working reception in a medical or veterinary setting.
