Job Description

Parker Hannifin Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Finance Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in corporate and manufacturing accounting.

The Finance Intern will assist in various projects, including administrative assignments and broader programmatic initiatives related to finance and accounting. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in targeted projects to support business objectives
  • Contributing to journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Completing closing and forecasting projects and duties as provided by manager
  • FOLLOWING GAAP policies and methods
  • Performing ad hoc projects for plant accountants and business unit managers
  • Providing functional support for the location as part of the finance and accounting team
  • Following established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area
  • Performing other duties as necessary

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Currently pursuing a BA or BS in Accounting or Finance at an accredited 4-year college or university, with an expected graduation date in 2025 or 2026
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5, required

Preferred qualifications include prior accounting or finance internship experience and knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as a team member. Ability to speak, read, and write English is required, and ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is preferred. The candidate must be able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
