Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Specialist Advanced at Loma Linda Univ Medical Center is responsible for performing imaging procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring patient safety. This role requires a strong foundation in nuclear medicine and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all imaging procedures offered in the Nuclear Medicine Department, ensuring high-quality techniques and patient safety.
  • Maintain and perform defined quality control on all equipment used, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Assume responsibility for patient safety, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Teach students and instruct patients on imaging procedures and techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, coworkers, and patients, using professional quality and courtesy.
  • Operate all equipment in the scanning areas, performing various tests and troubleshooting as needed.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Certification and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine (N) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), and State of California - Certified Technologist - Nuclear Medicine.
  • ARRT Certified Technologist (CT) and State of California - Radiologic Technologist preferred.
