Commercial Credit Analyst

Uwharrie Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Credit Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our credit department, you will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of consumer and commercial loan requests.

• Evaluate financial statements and input data into software programs to assess creditworthiness
• Work closely with credit analysts and lenders to complete financial spreads and evaluate trends and ratios
• Participate in Credit Committee to develop and increase underwriting skills
• Perform annual loan reviews on larger loan relationships

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting, or equivalent experience
• Formal credit and/or underwriting training from a financial institution is highly preferred
• Minimum of three years' experience in commercial credit underwriting, analysis, and/or commercial lending

• General accounting knowledge and ability to read and understand financial statements
• Solid analytical and underwriting skills, with ability to manage time, prioritize, and organize tasks
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work with internal and external contacts
• Proficient with personal computer and knowledgeable of various software applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word

Work is performed under general bank credit and regulatory guidelines. Periodic independent judgment and decisions may be required that may affect the loan portfolio's integrity, performance, and profitability.
