Job Summary

The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) is a vital member of the Loudoun County Public Schools team, responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to student athletes. This part-time, non-benefited position requires a highly skilled and dedicated individual to coordinate and administer a health care program that prioritizes the well-being and safety of our student athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement emergency health care plans for injured athletes
  • Provide evaluation and treatment to injured athletes, including immediate care and rehabilitation
  • Initiate and process injury reports, maintaining accurate medical records
  • Counsel coaches and athletes on playing status and follow-up care
  • Supervise the athletic training room and attend practices and games
  • Conduct in-service programs for coaching staff on injury prevention and care
  • Ensure current CPR and First Aid certification of all coaches
Requirements
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainer Association and licensure by the Virginia Board of Medicine
  • Effective communication skills to work with students, parents, administrators, and medical personnel
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical demands of the job
Additional Information

This is a part-time, hourly position with no guarantee of minimum hours. Payrate: Band 16
