Job Responsibilities

• Run a Service Truck: Independently operate and maintain a service truck, ensuring it is stocked and equipped for various plumbing service calls.
• Run an Install Truck: Efficiently manage and operate an installation truck, overseeing the installation of plumbing fixtures, systems, and components in residential and commercial settings.
• Lead Service and Install Work: Take charge of service and installation projects, providing leadership and guidance to a team of apprentices and ensuring the successful completion of tasks.
• Train Other Apprentices: Share expertise and knowledge by training and mentoring apprentices on plumbing techniques, safety protocols, and job-specific skills.
• Ability to Multitask: Effectively handle multiple tasks and service calls simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
• Good with an iPad: Utilize technology, including iPads, for efficient communication, job documentation, and accessing necessary information while in the field.
• Customer Service Skills: Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor while addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and service needs.
• Some Sales Skills: Apply basic sales skills to communicate effectively with customers, present service options, and provide estimates when necessary.
• Personable: Build positive relationships with clients, coworkers, and team members, fostering a friendly and personable atmosphere that aligns with our commitment to excellent customer service.
• Log Materials Used: Maintain accurate records of materials used during service and installation jobs, ensuring proper documentation for billing, inventory management, and future reference.

Requirements

• Journeymans License for the state of Illinois
• Has at least 4 years of experience in the plumbing trade
• Ability to lead jobs alone and with a team
• Personable
• Willing to work on call / after hours if needed
• Experience in Residential and Commercial Plumbing
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
