Join Our Neuroscience ICU Team

UW Health is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neuroscience ICU team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and collaborate with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality medical and perioperative care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide ongoing patient care and management.
  • Partner with Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care, and Neurology teams to provide medical and perioperative care during critical illness.
  • Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of neuroscience ICU care.

Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program (Nurse Practitioner) or Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program (Physician Assistant).
  • State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (Nurse Practitioner).
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (Physician Assistant).
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
