Waste Connections Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Collierville, TN. As a Diesel Mechanic with Waste Connections, you will be responsible for performing repairs and inspections on diesel vehicles, utilizing vehicle computer electrical systems to diagnose and repair issues, and responding to road calls for emergency repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and inspections on diesel vehicles, including electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electrical systems to diagnose and repair issues.
  • Respond to road calls for emergency repairs.
  • Review and complete repair reports, and assign repairs to team members as needed.
  • Test drive trucks after services and repairs.
  • Assist team members with repairs as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, complying with corporate and OSHA standards.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in diesel vehicle diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance, and repair.
  • Basic tool set.
  • Class B CDL (preferred).
  • Hydraulic experience is a plus.
