Bakery Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a Bakery Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of our baked goods and providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and package all baked goods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety and health regulations, and ensuring that the bakery area is clean and organized.
  • Stock and face shelves with baked goods, and ensure that all products are properly priced and rotated.
  • Receive and inspect products for accuracy and quality, and report any issues to the Bakery Manager.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of bakery experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Food safety certification required.
