Position Overview
  • Specialty: Telemetry

  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours
  • Shift Length: 12 hours

This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, although first-time travelers are welcome to apply. The patient demographic includes adults to geriatrics, and the following certifications are mandatory: BLS, ACLS, and NIH.

Work Environment

The Telemetry unit manages a variety of diagnoses, including:

  • CHF
  • MI/Chest pain (pre- and post-cath)
  • Dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants)
  • Hypo-/Hypertension
  • Pleural effusion
  • Sepsis
  • PE/DVT/vascular issues

The nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:4-5, with a total of 16 rooms available. Familiarity with Epic systems is required, along with Pyxis and SBAR protocols. The designated scrub color is Navy Blue.

Scheduling and Compliance

Travelers are expected to work every other weekend, and compliance with all requirements is essential for timely onboarding. Note that if compliance is not achieved, there may be a delay in starting the assignment.
