Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and fabricate metal items using metalworking equipment, including layout and design work;
  • Fabricate sheet metal items such as gates, covers, and vents, as well as grates, structures, and railings;
  • Build up and hard face worn areas on construction equipment buckets and blades;
  • Repair cracks and other structural defects on equipment and throughout the district;
  • Fabricate specialty items and tools, following drawings, blueprints, and sketches;
  • Perform welding and fabrication repairs in the field, ensuring safety procedures are followed.

This role may also involve assisting with excavation, installation, and repair of concrete mains, lines, and laterals, as well as weed abatement to clear drains, channels, and ditches of vegetation and debris.
